2. The grinding methods of double-side grinders can generally be divided into three categories: wet grinding, dry grinding and semi-dry grinding. ① Wet grinding: Also known as sanding grinding, the liquid abrasive is continuously filled or coated on the grinding surface, and the abrasive continuously slides and rolls between the workpiece and the grinding tool to form a cutting motion. ② Wet grinding is generally used for rough grinding. The particle size of the micronized abrasive is coarser than W7. ③ Dry grinding: Also known as sand-grinding grinding, the abrasive is evenly embedded in the surface layer of the grinding tool. When grinding, only a small amount of auxiliary materials such as stearic acid mixed grease are required to be coated on the surface of the grinding tool. Dry grinding is often used for fine grinding. The particle size of the micronized abrasive is finer than W7. ④ Semi-dry grinding: Similar to wet grinding, the grinding liquid used is a paste grinding paste. Grinding can be performed manually or on a surface grinder . Before grinding the workpiece, it is necessary to use other processing methods to obtain higher pre-processing accuracy. The grinding allowance is generally 5-30 microns.

3. The grinding tool is a tool for grinding and forming the workpiece, and at the same time, it is the carrier of the grinding liquid. The hardness should be lower than the hardness of the workpiece and have a certain wear resistance. It is usually made of gray cast iron. The metallographic structure of the wet research tool is mainly ferrite; the dry research tool is based on uniform and fine pearlite. When grinding small workpieces with complicated threads and shapes below M5, mild steel grinding tools are commonly used. When grinding small holes and soft metal materials, brass and copper lapping tools are mostly used. The research tool should have sufficient rigidity and its working surface must have high geometric accuracy. The grinding tool is also subjected to cutting and abrasion during the grinding process. If it is properly operated, its accuracy can also be improved, so that the machining accuracy of the workpiece can be higher than the original precision of the grinding tool.

4. Correctly handling the movement trajectory of the double-sided grinding machine is an important condition for improving the quality of grinding. In plane grinding, the general requirements are: ① the movement of the workpiece relative to the grinding tool, to ensure that the grinding stroke length of each point on the workpiece is as close as possible; The curvature change of the trajectory should be small to ensure the smooth movement of the workpiece; ④ The trajectory of the movement of any point on the workpiece should be avoided to avoid periodic repetition as early as possible. In order to reduce cutting heat, grinding is generally performed under low pressure and low speed conditions. The rough grinding pressure does not exceed 0.3 MPa, and the fine grinding pressure generally uses 0.03 to 0.05 MPa. The rough grinding speed is generally 20 to 120 m / min, and the fine grinding speed is generally 10 to 30 m / min.

5. Cooperating workpieces often adopt matching research methods. Before the matching research, the two workpieces need to be ground in a single piece, and then the grinding fluid is added between the mating surfaces of the two workpieces. The two workpieces serve as research tools.
